Equipment planning guide

Choosing a printing and finishing workflow

Compare DTF widths, laminator controls and cutting formats, then define a sample job before choosing a configuration.

Colibri ULTIMA R620 printer and closed shaker in the approved clean workshop scene

DTF: A3, A2 or R620?

The published working widths are up to 300 mm for ULTIMA A3, up to 430 mm for A2 and 600 mm for R620. Select a width against the transfer layout and production volume, including film handling, curing and the heat-press stage.

A2 lists two i1600 heads. The R620 document distinguishes R622 with two i3200 A1 heads from R624 with four. Compare a named print mode and resolution, not the maximum speed of another configuration. The model pages show the documented modes.

Laminators: CTL1700H or CTL1700M?

Both list a 1630 mm working width and heated/cold lamination. H lists pneumatic lift, a 28 mm maximum thickness and 20 m/min maximum speed. M lists hand-crank lift, a 23 mm maximum thickness and 12 m/min maximum speed. These are machine limits, not a recommended setting for every film.

Confirm feed access, roll handling and H pneumatic equipment in the supplied quotation. The assembled dimensions differ: H 2090 × 710 × 1235 mm; M 2260 × 690 × 1180 mm. Do not use the working width as the installation footprint.

Cutters and laser systems are not interchangeable

A3+ Sheet Cutter is sheet-fed; CA-24 and DF-1260 are roll-fed cutting systems. Compare media format, registration workflow and a real job, not only carriage speed.

The published laser bed formats range from 600 × 400 mm to 1600 × 1000 mm; Marking 30 W lists a 100 × 100 mm working area. Select against the approved material, source and installed power. A laser power range is not proof that every listed power is included.

What should I send for a recommendation?

Send the substrate or fabric, finished dimensions, artwork, expected daily volume, required finish, available space and country of installation. Ask for a sample test and the exact equipment configuration used for it.

Do catalogue speeds predict my daily output?

No. Print mode, artwork coverage, substrate, handling and finishing affect a real workflow. Ask for a documented sample job with mode, resolution, material and elapsed time rather than treating a catalogue maximum as a guaranteed output.

Hosting and network providers may process network addresses, request details, security logs and backups to deliver, protect and recover the service. Company email and CRM providers may also process correspondence handled by our employees.

Our employees handling enquiries work in Hong Kong, Lithuania and Israel. How long information is kept

We keep enquiry records while they are needed to answer and follow up your request, handle an ongoing transaction, meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute. Administrators review and remove records manually when they are no longer needed; this WordPress site has no automatic expiry scheduler or fixed deletion deadline. Unnecessary handling is restricted where a record must be retained for a specific purpose.

Technical logs and backups have separate retention determined by security, recovery needs, applicable obligations and the provider's settings. Removing a live enquiry does not automatically remove copies from existing backups. Contact us for requests concerning those copies or for the retention information relevant to your enquiry.

Your choices and rights

You can ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or object to processing, and request a portable copy where the applicable law provides these rights. If processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also complain to your competent data protection authority.

Send requests to [email protected], preferably from the address used for the enquiry and with its reference. We may need proportionate information to verify that a request concerns your own data. We respond within the deadlines required by applicable law and explain any lawful exception or extension.
